Have you ever dreamt of being able to sleep over on a farm animal sanctuary and wake up surrounded by rescued farm animals?

We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to make that dream come true! Our new sanctuary is located an hour outside Adelaide, north of the Fleurieu wine district and Lake Alexandrina.

Join us for a weekend getaway from the city where you can rest and recharge in the comfort of your own caravan. Permanently parked by a newly created fairy garden and a view to blue skies and happy sheep, cows, horses, pigs, goats, deer and feathered friends, your caravan is equipped with everything you need to relax and take in the tranquil bliss of country life.

To help you unwind from the minute that you arrive, we can organise to have a meal for two prepared and waiting in your fridge. All you need do is heat the oven and sit back with your complimentary bottle of Freedom Hill Sanctuary wine.

Your stay can include helping out with the morning feeds or just stroll along and watch the excitement of feed time with the animals. Spend a lazy day on a picnic rug by the horses, cuddle the kindy kids and read them a story or give a welcome back scratch to Holly pig.

There is always something to be done such as tree planting and if you are keen, bring your gloves and rubber boots. Experience a mesmerising evening with breathtaking views of the star-studded Milky Way.

Your caravan is ready for a cosy getaway with home comforts such as a toaster, kettle, coffee plunger, tea, coffee, sugar and in the fridge soy milk, orange juice, bread, dairy free spread, vegemite and jam for a light breakfast.

There is a shower and toilet block a short walk from the caravan. All bedding and towels are supplied, simply drive in and instantly feel at home.

All food and drinks that you bring into the sanctuary for your stay must be vegan out of respect to the animal residents. Additional meals supplied by us can be arranged with notice. Please talk to us about options.

So come join us and escape to a haven where you can forget about everything and fill your heart with the warmth of kindness. Our animal friends can’t wait to meet you!

A one-of-a-kind farm stay at an idyllic sanctuary in South Australia.

My stay at Freedom Hill Sanctuary surpassed my expectations and I would highly recommend this unique farm stay experience to anyone who needs a break or wants the opportunity to get away to be surrounded by nature.
There is nothing quite like waking up in the middle of an animal sanctuary surrounded by acres of quiet land and well over a hundred animals.
The caravan I stayed in was cosy and extremely comfortable. It was immaculately clean and I was able to find everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. Kym and Richard went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. I woke to the distant sound of ducks quacking, cows mooing, and sheep baaing. Paradise for animal lovers (and for the animal residents, too!)
This farm stay would be suitable for almost anyone; it would perfect for a romantic getaway, a solo getaway with the perfect setting for quiet reflection, a writer’s retreat, or a self-directed meditation or yoga retreat.

The most amazing Valentines Weekend I could have asked for!

I decided randomly to Google Farm Stays in Adelaide the week before Valentines day to surprise my girlfriend. When I reached out, it tirned out to be the first ever farm stay! We were extremely excited being long time vegans, so spend the weekend together and share our love with the beautiful animals.
Our expectations were blown away! The caravan is beautiful and comfortable, the animals are the most beautiful beings we have ever met! Each with their own personality and demeanour. We spent our days relaxing, feeding weet bix to the sheep and goats, and cows, (weet-bix seems to be their favourite). We fed the horses, saw the giant ex-dairy cows, beautiful baby ferdinand and his mum. We spent our time hanging out with Kym, asking her questions (trying not to bother her too much becuase she is extremely busy taking care of the animals), assisting wherever we could! Waking up to the sound of animals was just amazing and I wish we could do it every day.
This was an amazing expereince and to date one of the best weekends of our lives! I reccomend it for any vegan animal lovers who want to escape the city for a weekend and spend time with rescued animals!
5 Stars!! A weekend to be remembered 🙂
