FREEDOM HILL SANCTUARY IS A NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANISATION DEDICATED TO PROVIDING A LOVING HOME TO NEGLECTED AND UNWANTED FARM ANIMALS.

We are located in South Australia, in the Adelaide Hills, with 48 acres of picturesque hills country. Freedom Hill opened 2011 and is the first sanctuary for farm animals in South Australia.

Our mission at Freedom Hill Sanctuary is to provide a safe haven for animals that have been rescued from abuse, exploitation or neglect. We also aim to change the way people view farm animals and promote, educate and encourage compassionate cruelty-free living.

Life begins at Freedom Hill for all our rescues and each and every one will always have a safe, happy and forever home. We are not open to the public yet but our future plan is to open the sanctuary for weekend visits and later school visits.

Our Sweetie

Freedom Hill Sanctuary - Wednesday, December 03, 2014

Welcome to Freedom Hill Sanctuary Sweetie - This pretty lady arrived almost two weeks ago from a farm close by. She is three years old and was used for breeding. Sweetie has also recently become completely blind. One of her eyes has been injured/poked out and the other has tumours which has caused permanent blindness. Sweetie has settled into her new home and is slowly getting used to the sound of our voices. She's stopped panicking when we enter her area and has even come close to give Kym kisses. It's amazing how forgiving animals can be. If you would like to support our work please consider a monthly donation.  Your support is greatly appreciated!
